Classes run quarterly - June-Aug/Sept-Nov/Dec-Feb/March-May. New listings are usually
posted by the 15th-20th of the month before each new quarter.
Classes on hiatus late June - July, instructors on summer school break.

Mondays from 2:15 - 3:15 pm or Wednesdays from 1:30 - 2:30 pm
Arts and crafts in our big classroom, grades K-6. Kids discover their creative potential in a wide variety of art and craft mediums, in a fun, supportive atmosphere. Materials included.

Lanai Art Center/VSA Arts Kid’s Ceramic Club - Nat Fujimoto
Mondays from 2:15 - 3:15 pm or Wednesdays from 1:30 - 2:30 pm -
Ceramics in our Ceramic Studio, grades K-6. Kids discover their creative potential and learn the basics of hand building, coil construction, throwing on the wheel and glazes, in a fun, supportive atmosphere. Materials included.
Fee - $35 for semester - Location: Art Center Ceramic Studio - Class size limited to 6.

Kid’s Oil Painting Club - Greg Sanders
Mondays from 4:00 - 5:00 pm
Beading projects in our big classroom, grades K-6. Kids discover their creative potential in a wide variety of beading projects in a fun, supportive atmosphere. Materials included.

Oil Painting Workshop - Greg Sanders
Mondays, 5 - 8 pm - Monthly class cycle. May sign up for four weeks at any time.
Greg Sanders' popular class continues. All ages and skill levels, receive personal guidance and training or work on your own with Greg's assistance. For students with some background in painting, Greg will advise on specific problems/questions. Materials not included.
Fee - $25 month - Open Studio fee - $11 - Location: Classroom annex

Ceramic Tile Painting - Natasha Haugen
2 night class, April 21-Mon & 22-Tues, 6:30 - 8:30 pm
Hand paint bisque 4x4 tiles using majolica - stain white glaze with colors for a water color effect. Can create up to 6 tiles - individual or multiple tiles for a scene.
Fee - $40 Includes tiles, glazes and stains firing.
Location: Ceramics Studio

Beginners Stained Glass Workshop - Saskia Haugen
4 week workshop, Tues & Thurs - April 29 - May 22, 6 - 9 p.m.
Learn the basics of designing stained glass patterns, cutting the glass safely, and finishing projects. This course will teach you how to copper tape and solder stained glass pieces together and also how to treat the final product with a variety of patinas. Each student will leave the class with a finished suncatcher project.
Fee - $100, Materials - $25, Specialized tools included
Location: NEW Art Center Studio (old woodshop)

Advanced Silk Screening Workshop - Natasha Haugen
3 night class - May 14-Wed, 15-Thur and 21-Wed - 6:00 - 9 p.m.
Stretch 2 screens, design prints, use photo emulsion and multiple colors. Print using our multiple color press with your choice of colors on paper, textiles, T-shirts and more.
*Must have completed Basic Silk Screen Class
Fee - $40, Materials - $25 - Specialized tools included

Ceramic Plate Making - Natasha Haugen
2 night class, May 14 & 15th, 6:30 - 8:30 pm

1/2-Day Digital Camera Workshop - Greg Cohen
Sat., June 14 - 11 am - 2 pm
Repeat offering of this popular workshop that’s sold out every time. Learn the basics of digital photography; file formats, how your camera focuses, lenses, determining resolution, plus basic Photoshop techniques for cropping, color balancing and prepping images for web email or printing. Includes an 11 page guide to take home with you.

Beading Hui - Sharie Liden/Phyllis Mcomber
Sundays, 1 - 5 pm
